Clearpower to install biomass system for North Highland College (Thurso)

Clearpower are delighted to announce that they have signed a contract to install a 900 kW Compte-R biomass boiler system at North Highland College in Thurso with Morrisons Construction. The new boiler system will operate on woodchip and will provide heat to both existing buildings and a new college extension. The boiler is due to arrive on-site in late June and will be commissioned in August 2011.

Biomass boiler lifted into Nenagh Leisure Centre

30 May 2011 A 400 kW KOB Pyrot boiler was successfully lifted and positioned into place today at Clearpower's turnkey bioenergy installation for Nenagh Town Council at the town's leisure centre. The boiler will convert the bulk of the leisure's centre heat demands to locally sourced woodchip and Clearpower are responsible for the design, installation and operation of the new biomass fuelled energy centre.

Clearpower gains ISO 18001 accreditation

23rd May 2011. Cleaprower has gained ISO 18001 accreditation in Health and Safety from the British Standards Institution (BSI). Our ISO 18001 number is OHS 567456 . This adds to the other ISO accreditations that Clearpower possesses, namely ISO 9001 in Quality Systems and ISO 14001 in Environmental Management Systems

Clearpower win district heating project in Nenagh, Co Tipperary

12th May 2011   Clearpower are delighted to announce the recent winning of a major new district heating project within Nenagh town. The system will provide heating to Nenagh leisure centre and is expected to the further expanded in time. Initially the scheme will be powered by a Kob 400KW boiler. Construction on the scheme has commenced and will be completed by the end of June 2011.

Clearpower win Ulster Bank National Green Business Award

Clearpower have won the National Award for Green Business at the Ulster Bank business achievers award. This follows our recent win the regional final and progression through to the final. Commenting on the award, John Heffernan said "Winning this award is an honour. It represents our visions and exactly what we set out to achieve. Clearpower commences development of new software solution for Severn Trent plc

3rd January 2011 Following a detailed design stage, Clearpower has commenced the development of a new software solution for Severn Trent plc. When completed this software will manage all the logistics and regulatory requirements associated with the removal and recycling of waste products from Severn Trent's network of treatment facilities in the UK. This project is being completed with our software partners, Compass informatics Limited.

Clearpower expands to new Irish headquarters

7th February 2011 Clearpower has expanded its central office in Ireland. The new site is located at Unit 7, Broomhill Business Complex, Broomhill Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24. In addition to normal operations, the new site will house Clearpower's continuous remote monitoring operations for our installations in the UK and in Ireland. It will also house our in house bioenergy design team.

Clearpower wins Ulsterbank Business Achievers award

1st February 2011 In recognition of its track record and recent successful expansion into the UK, Clearpower has won the Green Business award in the Leinster heat of the Ulsterbank business achievers award and moves forward to the National finals to be awarded in April 2011.

Clearpower commences organic waste management contract with South Cork Co Co

1st October 2010 Clearpower has commenced a multi-year contract with South Cork County Council for the provision of waste water treatment plant sludge recycling services in the South Cork area. All sludge is treated and recycled as an organic fertilizer within the local area.  

Clearpower commences five year framework agreement for woodchip supply to Birmingham PFI schools

4th January 2011 Clearpower has commenced wood chip delivery to a network of schools in Birmingham city, following the signing of a five year framework agreement with Birmingham City Council. Up to 11 schools will be supplied with virgin woodchip under the agreement. The heating requirements of all the schools are provided through on site biomass boilers. To service this contract, Clearpower has established a new wood chip production depot in the Birmingham area.

UK's first Biomass Organic combined cooling, heating and power system delivered by Clearpower to BSkyB

12th May 2011 Following construction of the energy centre, Clearpower are delighted to announce that the boiler unit for the UK's first biomass combined cooling, heating and power plant has been delivered and set in place at the BSkyB complex in Osterley, West London. Clearpower are turnkey contractors for this exciting new project.
